Movies on a Monday

Having A LOT of spare time on my hands in Japan I have been able to watch a lot of movies. I love movies, so it’s really great πŸ™‚

I wanted to share with you two of my favourite movies I have watched just recently…..

(If you can’t see the subtitles, press the CC button on the bottom of the video)

Amelie was recommended to me by my good friend Jen of Chuckles Designs. This movie cheered me right up on my saddest day so far in Japan. I think it has magical powers πŸ™‚

Fantastic Mr. Fox

When Fantastic Mr. Fox first came out I chose not to see it because I love the Roald Dahl story and I thought it looked too different from that. But this really was such a great movie πŸ™‚
The characters, the design and the animation, all well, Fantastic πŸ˜‰

Have you seen either of these movies? What did you think?

What is your favourite movie that puts you in a good mood?

  1. Wow, you really have me thinking – my favourite movie, which is also sad but very inspirational is also a movie with subtitles – “Life is Beautiful” with Roberto Bernigni ( I think that is how you spell it) remember when he won the Oscar for best actor in the late ’90’s for the movie and jumped over the chairs in the auditorium to get to the stage. It is such an inspirational story – when I am feeling down it always makes me realise that I have nothing to complain and and to just get over myself!!! Definitely worth seeing if you have missed it. Love it. Cheers

    • I watched Life is Beautiful tonight Ros, it was wonderful. I was so happy but there was this horrible thing in my tummy the whole way through, knowing that something was coming. You are so right, we have nothing to complain about xoxo
