Day 142 – Cruise (PP)


A very interesting morning on the scales, after a number of different times, I weighed 73.1!!! I am more confused than excited ^.^?? My scales are normally very reliable, so I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t even know if it’s physically possible to drop 3kg in one day?

When I got home from work I weighed myself again, and after a day of eating and drinking lots I was up to 74 (a regular jump for me at the end of the day)…and still 2kg less than I weighed yesterday morning. I don’t know what’s going on and I’m very curious as to what I weigh tomorrow morning.

Breakfast: Oat Bran Porridge

Snack: Diet Jelly & Yoplait ForMe Fruit Yoghurt

Lunch: Beef Jerky (whoops, I ate the whole thing!), Pastrami and Chicken Breast

Snack: Silverside

Dinner: Roast Chicken (lots 😦 it was an easy dinner)

Drinks: LOTS of water (more than 3L I would imagine) and quite a bit of Coke Zero too.

Exercise: 30 minute walk on Mum’s treadmill 🙂 (maybe it’s the regular exercise that I’ve been doing??)

Day 125 – Cruise (PV)


76.9 again, but that’s perfectly fine.

So glad it was Friday today, even though it was only 3 days since the last day off!!

Here’s what I ate today:

Breakfast: Oat Bran Porridge

Snack: Beef Pastrami and Yoplait ForMe Fruit Yoghurt

Lunch: Roast Chicken (no skin)

Snack: Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sundae

Dinner: Raw Veggies, Cold Meat, Chicken and Beef Skewers and a little Cottage Cheese at games night with my fellow Dukan chickies!! Everybody else ate really healthy too….because Dukan peeps supplied the food 😛 It was such a nice atmosphere

Snack: 1 Double D Sugar Free Lolly

Drinks: Over 2L Water and a few glasses of Coke Zero

Exercise: A very active day today, did dancing with the grade 6’s for and hour and a half, so if you actually count up the time moving it would have added up to at least half an hour.

Day 117 – Cruise (PP)


Still 78.7 today, which is better than a gain!

Right back on track today. Dukan all the way.

Right before recess today, when I was starving, I got handed 2 freshly made vanilla cupcakes with melted chocolate on top (made by some of my students who go to an ESL group – totally food safe trustworthy ones too!). I ooohd and aaaahd and said thank you and brought them home for Brad to eat. Are you proud? I am 😀

Breakfast: Oat Bran Porridge

Snack: Chicken Breast & Yoplait ForMe Berry Yoghurt

Lunch: Turkey Breast with Gherkin Cottage Cheese

Snack: Onion and Chive Cottage Cheese (oops…whole thing!)

Dinner: Asian inspired Pork, Veal and Tofu meatloaf. Read: Mixed up everything I had to make a Dukan Friendly Dinner. No blowing it for me tonight! (still in the oven, can’t wait for it to come out!)

Snack: Skinny Cow Mint Choc Chip Icecream

Drinks: 2L Water & a bit too much Coke Zero

Exercise: 30 minute Walk while dinner was in the oven! Go Me! (sorry, but I’m happy to be on track)

Day 110 – Cruise (PV)


Wow! down to 78.8 today….even after my disastrous dinner yesterday 😛 I’m not going to complain, but I also won’t get into a habit of eating crap…I promise!

Breakfast: Oat Bran Porridge

Snack: Sliced Chicken Breast and Onion & Chive Cottage Cheese

Lunch: Salad with Chicken Breast

Dinner: Bacon and Eggs

Snack: Skinny Cow Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream!!! It was movie night and my good friend Karlie bought it for me 😀 I haven’t had one in weeks, so I enjoyed it sooooo much! It’s a new flavour and tastes exactly like the real thing!!

Drinks: Can’t remember how much Water…I’m thinking not enough 😦

Exercise: I played active games with the kids at school today for about an hour. My heart rate wasn’t up, but at least I was moving.

Day 89 – Cruise (PV)


What a great day…I went to Bikram yoga for the second time and I am absolutely in love with it! This time, I managed to join in for a lot more than last time, however I still felt light headed at moments and had to stop. A lady there said it could take 5 or 6 sessions to get used to the heat….and I have low blood pressure, so that won’t help with the light headedness. In the heat you can push your body so much farther than you could otherwise. The instructor was really great too (a different one from last time).

This is one of may favourite poses…and yes I can do it! (just not yet perfectly and in a tank top!)


Here’s what I ate today…

Breakfast: 4 strawberries (In preparation for the yoga)…sooo delicious! (Must try and forget that memory until the next time I do Yoga)

Snack: 5 slices of Ham with 1 Tomato

Lunch: 2 Eggs and 3 slices of lean Bacon

Snack: Jarrah Chocolatte made with ice and water, Oat Bran added in after blending…EPIC FAIL! I used too much water and it just tasted horrible, and all the oat bran kept floating to the bottom so I was gonna be left with a huge glob of watery oat bran. So I put it in the microwave to to make ‘Chocolate Porridge’! Aside from the fact that it bubbled over and I lost some of it, I would say that it was a success!

Dinner: Dinner Party at my friends house…Dukan Pumpkin Soup for Entree, Roast Chicken & Beef & Roasted Vegetables for Main and Strawberry Dukan Cheesecake for Dessert!!!

Drinks: Sooo much water (I lost track) and some Coke Zero at dinner

Exercise: 90 minutes of Bikram Yoga

So how did I go today?

More Water….Check!
Less Coke Zero….Check!
Oat Bran….Check!
No TF’s….Little Check 😛 The cheesecake had Extra Light Philly Cream Cheese which is still a touch high in fats…and I had a big serve of Cheesecake 😛

Day 83 – Cruise (PV)


So today I went to my first Bikram Yoga class in Werribee….OMG! It sure was an experience. I am really proud of myself for staying in the room for the whole 1 1/2 hour class. The room is heated to 39 degrees…I started to sweat when I walked in and sat on my mat 😛 I have never sweated so much in my entire life! I was sweating on my arms and on the tops of my feet (I didn’t know your feet could do that!) I’m a beginner at yoga, but the poses were things I could mostly do at my level, so that part wasn’t hard, it was more the environment which was the challenge. To be honest I sat down for more about half of the class, which is apparently ok and normal for beginners. It’s just I was soooo light headed when I stood up I would nearly faint. Some people experience nausea…thank goodness I didn’t. The think is, I didn’t eat anything before going, so I am going to attribute part of the light headedness to that. They advise you to eat something small like a piece of fruit 2 hours before class….but since I can’t eat fruit on Dukan, I couldn’t think of anything I felt like eating. Next time (Sunday morning!) I will eat something beforehand, I just don’t know what yet. Any suggestions….please?!

I had SUCH a busy day today. After racing home and SCOFFING down food (cannot explain the hunger!) I picked up my brother’s girlfriend and we went to IKEA in Richmond for the afternoon! So much fun. I got some awesome things for my desk, will show you all a photo of where I blog when it’s clean and ready 🙂 At Ikea, I suddenly became famished!.. only a little while after eating earlier. I decided I was going to eat carbs, but when I went to the food part I went with the meatballs with none of the extra things…they wouldn’t let me swap the mashed potato for carrots and peas 😦 Only until I was nearly finished did I remember Tam’s advice about using a paper towel on a sausage to remove fat….so I grabbed some napkins and squeezed the fat from the remaining meatballs. Wow…I kinda wish I hadn’t coz it made me realise how much fat I had eaten in all the rest 😦 Oh well, better than carbs.

Dinner however, another story. I’ll just be out with it…I ate 3 slices of pizza and a Magnum Ice Cream. It definitely stemmed from the exercise in the morning, my body was so hungry and wanting energy so badly that I just ate what everyone else was eating. I hope it doesn’t affect me too much for my weigh in tomorrow (stupid time to have a break from Dukan – night before my weekly weigh in!)

Breakfast: Nothing…before Yoga

Lunch: 5 small slices Light Ham with 1 whole Tomato and 3 tbsp Gherkin Cottage Cheese

2nd Lunch: Meatballs from Ikea

Dinner: 3 slices Pizza and a Magnum Ice Cream

Snack: 5 Maltesers

Drinks: Not enough water and lots of Coke Zero!

Exercise: 1.5 hours Bikram Yoga

The Weekends’ Exercise :) and Eating :(


This weekend I made an excellent effort with my exercise…I went to a hard fitness class Saturday morning, and then spent all day Sunday at Mt. Buller for a day trip teaching others to snowboard then getting in a few runs myself.

However my eating was far from perfect 😦 Saturday night I had 2 glasses of wine at an engagement party and then ate a whole cupcake! All my male friends were like “OMG Lauren’s eating a cupcake!” (In a telling off but nice way) It was late and I was really tired, maybe that’s why I caved?

And then on Sunday I ate regular food up at Mt. Buller and ate McDonalds on the way home…again, I was very tired, so maybe that’s when I’m at my weakest. I’m sorry to say that this morning (Monday) I weighed 90.1, and in my tired state I thought I only went up 0.2kg, but no, that would be 1.2kg if I could do the maths properly! Hopefully it disappears soon and I still see a downward trend on the scales next Saturday morning.
